Lane Billings is a 2027 C/RHP, 1B with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Baton Rouge, LA who attends Live Oak. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and some present physical strength with additional room to fill moving forward. Ran a 7.55 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, lower set behind the plate, shows quickness to actions and arm stroke out of transfer, can continue to incorporate additional lower half into gaining ground, on line and accurate throws down to second base with some present carry. Also pitched, simple move down the mound, short take back out of glove, does a nice job of repeating and remaining on line while filling the strike zone. Fastball topped out at 78 mph, pitched to contact and shows short cutting action from release; slurve shape to breaking ball and flashed a changeup at 65 mph. Right-handed hitter, barrel tilt at start and utilizes a short move into contact; shows a loose and easy swing with best contact when getting extended out front. Shows ability to impact to pull side and can get separated at point of contact, occasionally gets to front side early with weight shift. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
