Anthony Aceves is a 2024 OF/2B with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Lake Elsinore, CA who attends Lakeside. Athletic build. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.35 seconds. Primary outfielder, comes to the ball well, showed good hands and solid foot work with a quick transition. Was able to clock up to 80 mph on throws from the outfield, displayed strong accurate throws, the ball carried well. From the mound, worked quickly, attacked the batters and threw strikes. The fastball sat 72-76 mph, showed the ability to locate the fastball to both sides of the plate. Mixed in a curveball that sat 66 mph with tight spin and good depth. Right handed hitter, hits from a slightly narrow open stance, has a high back elbow, hands sit even with shoulder. Has a simple swing with natural loft in his swing and showed above average bat speed. Hit the ball well to all fields. Great student.
