Mason McWhirter is a 2028 SS/RHP, C, 2B, 3B, MIF, IF, UT with a 5-10 125 lb. frame from Jamestown, TN who attends Clarkrange. Recorded an 8.30 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop with a long and lean frame. Methodical footwork in the infield and fields the ball out front with two hands. Employs a short, compact arm action to throw across the diamond. Also worked out in the outfield and showed solid actions with good accuracy to the bases, recording throws up to 71 mph. Right-handed hitter and starts from a medium base with even feet. High back elbow set and worked the pull side for the most part during round. Toe tap timing trigger and quality bat speed with luft through the zone. Produced line drives and rotates the hips well. Secondary right-handed pitcher and uses a longer arm actions, running the fastball up to 73 mph. Loose delivery and competed hard. Mixed in a solid breaking ball for strikes as well.
