Edward Chavez is a 2023 SS/C, UT with a 5-6 146 lb. frame from Little Elm, TX who attends Little Elm. Ran a 7.43 60 yard dash. On the mound, has loose arm action and a projectable frame. Throws from a lower arm slot with whippy arm action. His fastball topped at 75 MPH with some run to it. Pairs it with a curveball that was around 63 MPH. Good athleticism in the field and has a good transfer from behind the plate. Posted a 2.10 pop time. Good range in the infield. At the plate, has a toe tap timing mechanism. Lower crouching stance. The swing is compact and shows off some power to pullside. Swings with good intent. Highest exit velocity was 74 MPH. Great student.
