Oliver Van Tiem is a 2027 SS/RHP, 3B with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Hillsborough, NC who attends Orange. Very nice athletic build with lots of physical projection ahead. Two-way prospect. Right handed hitter, hits from a big leg pull back load with a long stride into contact, long approach but generates good bat speed with more to come, has some lift in his swing for future power. 7.56 runner in the sixty. Primary left side infielder on defense, plays under control with good footwork and easy gliding actions through the ball, good carry on his throws for his age, overall athletic actions. Was impressive on the mound, has a calm delivery and stays tall and balanced over the rubber well, arm action is quick and compact and hides the ball well. Fastball worked mostly in the low 80's and topped out at 84 mph, very good late hard arm side life at times, fastball velocity plays up with is deception. Curveball is a good second pitch when he gets out front with it on release with 11/5 shape and some sharpness. Named to the 13U/14U Sunshine Atlantic Coast Showcase Top Prospect List.
