Cooper Partin is a 2027 1B/RHP with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Burlington, NC who attends Southern Alamance. Extra big and strong build for his age. Right handed hitter, hits from a low hand set start with a well timed hanging front leg load, has good rhythm into his swing, has lots of lift in his swing and works from mid field to the pull side, power approach that suits his build and tools well. 8.35 runner in the sixty. Primary first baseman on defense, moves well for his age and size, gets good glove position on ground balls and has some athleticism in his actions, big arm strength for the position. Took a turn on the mound, works from the stretch with a slow paced delivery, simple turn and throw mechanics. Got good sink on a fastball that sat 72-73 mph, movement was very consistent and a plus for him. Also showed a basic hand position slider that was an effective pitch for him, filled up the zone with two pitches. Two-way prospect. Noticeably more athletic than when last seen 4 months ago. Named to the 13U/14u Atlantic Coast Showcase Top Prospect List.
