Landon Salinas is a 2024 SS/RHP, 3B with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Corpus Christi, TX who attends London. He ran a 7.31 second sixty. A primary shortstop with a medium frame. On the infield the actions are solid with soft hands and good feel for the back hand working into the throws with proper footwork showing projectable arm strength with accurate throws. On the mound the arm strength stood out doing a nice job of working down hill from an over the top arm slot sitting 80-85 mph. The curveball sat in the low 70's with tighter 12-6 action pairing well from the higher slot to tunnel with the fastball. Right-handed hitter, starts slightly open shifting into the back side with the leg lift trigger, the barrel gets through the zone with some lift to the bat path showing projectable bat speed and a feel for the barrel with a well synced swing. Good student. Named to the National Underclass South Showcase Top Prospect List.
