Maddax Brown is a 2024 C/ with a 6-0 145 lb. frame from Smithfield, VA who attends Smithfield. Recorded a 8.25 second 60 yard dash time. Tall frame with a lanky build that projects well. Plenty of room to fill in the body. Primary catcher with a quick transfer at the chest and accurate throws to second base at 65 mph. Recorded a 2.28 second pop time. Pop time will continue to increase as he gains more ground towards second and stays low throughout the throw. Right-handed hitter that starts slightly open with a narrow stance. Uses a small leg lift trigger and low hand and elbow set. Creates a downhill angle and inside swing path. Bat speed and power will increase as he continues to develop strength and load into the back hip and back shoulder. Terrific student.
