Lane Haney is a 2026 SS/RHP/OF with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Young Harris, GA who attends Union County. Medium frame with a lean and athletic build. Ran a 7.42 second 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, moves around the dirt well with good lateral range and overall feel, plays slightly upright but makes the plays, adjusts slot and into low-80s across. Athletic enough for outfield, moves through it hard and similar low-80s arm strength to bags. Pitches as well, full windup and high energy delivery with good tempo, has some arm speed and gets good late life on the fastball, throws changeup with great intent and sinks it, goes right on right with it comfortably, some components to the breaking ball as well, mixes all 3 well. Right-handed hitter, busier parts but big intent swinging it hard and generates quickness, turns the barrel over well while working uphill, bat speed projects to create good impact, can improve in some areas but can build on this. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
