Hector Lopez is a 2023 2B/ with a 5-6 125 lb. frame from Humacao, PR who attends IBAHS. Wiry frame with good athleticism and some twitch in the frame. Ran a 7.14 in the 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, shows great feel for the leather with quick feet and actions up the middle. Softer hands and clean transfers into strong throws packed with intent from a whippier slot. Lots to work with on the dirt. Right-handed hitter, open stance with a narrow base and high hand set. Matches plane well with quick hands that work all fields. Good finish through contact and shows developing strength. Solid feel for the barrel and the athleticism shows. Solid feel and defender up the middle with quick hands at the plate. Very good student. Named to Top Prospect list.
