2021 Preseason HS Prospect Showcase
Brent Clapier is a 2021 1B/LHP with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Marsing, ID who attends Nampa Christian Schools. Strong athletic build. 7.72 runner in the sixty, showed good hands and glove in the infield at first base and stayed down on balls well. Left handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with a controlled stride into contact, short rotational swing, can get more consistent in his trigger and timing, downhill swing plane, has some strength in his hands and the ball comes off the barrel hard, has the tools to keep improving as a hitter with adjustments due to his strength. Also pitched, topped out at 60 mph from a sub-sidearm slot.
