Dawson Calero is a 2024 MIF/3B with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Rochester, NH who attends Spaulding. Calero worked exclusively from his primary MIF spot on the day, showcasing lateral range with aggressive footwork that worked to and through the baseball. He flashed a quick compact release with the ability to change slots on the run, ultimately topping out at 77 mph across the diamond. Offensively, the righty started from a slightly open stance with a high back elbow and simple leg lift trigger producing impact gap to gap. He covered the zone well with intent to generate lift in the bat path, posting an exit velo of 81 mph.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
