Langston Howard is a 2025 OF/LHP, 1B with a 5-8 151 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Lutheran South Academy. Medium frame with compact build, ran 60 yard dash in 7.38 seconds. Hits from wide-based stance, sits on backside and doesn't shift into swing, lengthy launch with inside-out path, clocked up to 74 mph exit velocity in testing. Worked out in the outfield, waits back on the ball, two hander off to the side, clean transfer, clocked up to 76 mph on throws. Also pitched, balance to delivery with slower pace to windup, high 3/4 slot release, fastball worked 70-73 mph, some sink at times, short vertical breaker in mid-60's. Good student.
