Gavin Flake is a 2025 RHP/3B, OF with a 6-1 145 lb. frame from Boulder City, NV who attends Boulder City. Lanky build with plenty of room to add more as he gets older. Ran the 60 yard-dash in 7.85 seconds. Primary right-handed pitcher, mixed well, threw a lot of strikes and commanded both sides of the plate. The fastball sat 75-79 mph with arm side sink. Flashed a curveball that sat 68 mph, as he gets older the curveball will continue to develop. Also worked out in the outfield, came to the ball well, but has a tendency to get the glove down late. From the infield, showed some athleticism but is still developing infield actions. At the plate, hits from a narrow base with a toe tap trigger and a high back elbow. Displayed a soft level swing with a downward hand path. Great student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
