Amaree Griffin is a 2027 LHP/OF with a 6-3 172 lb. frame from Loganville, GA who attends Holy Innocents Episcopal. Long and lean pitcher's build, extremely projectable in all areas. Primary pitcher but is a two-way prospect. High leg raise and tuck delivery, quick and compact repeatable arm action, low effort release that enables his velocity to play up. Fastball worked in the mid-80's with plenty more velocity there, was aggressive early in counts with his fastball, mostly straight. Change up was an outstanding pitch, sells it with outstanding arm speed, landed it every attempt with great feel and nice life. Only threw on curveball, will need to continue to work on this pitch but didn't need it today. Threw 82% strikes in three innings and dominated. 6.88 runner in the sixty. Easy athletic actions in the outfield with lots of arm strength. Left handed hitter, hits from a wide base with a short shift to his front side, has fast hands and very good barrel accuracy, five hits in the game with hard mid field to pull side contact, showed his power with multiple extra base hits. High ceiling athlete in every regard. Named to play in the Perfect Game 14U Select Festival.
