2023 Coastal Workout Showcase
Jackson Brooks is a 2027 3B/RHP/C with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Wilminton, NC who attends Emsley A Laney. Good frame and present strength with athletic actions and plenty of time to continue growth. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.18 seconds. Primary position IF, with solid fundamental actions and some first step quickness to his footwork. Plays a bit high in his legs but makes plays with solid glove action. Showed the ability to throw from varying slots based on the plays. Good arm action with throws up to 79 mph accurately across the field. Really did nice job on slow roller play. Reps in the OF, working glove off to the side and using shorter footwork. Full arm path with throws up to 81 mph. Secondary position C, playing a bit high in his initial stance and working with a clean transfer midline. Well integrated mechanics with very solid arm strength with a pop-time best 2.08 seconds on feeds up to 76 mph. RHH with a narrow start and tight hands loaded out front. Early action to get hands moving and gets on plane quickly with juice at impact. Really finds the barrel and gets to his power with regularity. Real projection to his offensive game and will be an interesting follow in the coming months.
