Kyler Jorgensen is a 2021 C/RHP, IF, OF with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from South Jordan, UT who attends Skyline. Medium, square shouldered frame with present strength to build and additional room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.40 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, lower set behind the plate with a turn in drills, receives the ball out front, longer stride with lower half coming out of crouch, repeats actions, compact arm action on throws, worked around the bag with throws. Fields the ball out front in the infield, similar short arm action on throws, quickness working into a tight release, lower slot release, shows some carry and will continue to refine overall footwork. Also pitched, compact arm action through the bag working to a three-quarters release point with nice life to arm side, up to 78 mph on fastball. Short and offline stride coming down the mound, slurve shape to breaking ball up to 64 mph. Righthanded hitter, begins with a slightly open stance with a high hand set and utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing. Loads hands back at start, long swing path through the zone, glides to front side, creates extension out front with occasional lift to swing path. Can shorten lower half stride, does a nice job of staying short to the ball. Very good student.
