Maxzell Mathis is a 2028 SS/RHP/3B with a 5-4 110 lb. frame from Gibsonton, FL. Recorded a 9.86 second 60-yard dash time. Young frame and build. Primary shortstop with clean glove work and moves well around the position. Lower arm slot and gets to the ball quickly. Accurate throws across with currently developing arm strength. Secondary right-handed pitcher with a rotational delivery and a mid three-quarters arm slot. Fastball shows occasional cutting life. Softer curveball for strikes. Pitches have good life, stays in the zone, and gets good extension out in front. Right-handed hitter with a wide base, high hand set, and a high back elbow. Bat head starts straight back. Small step with a level swing plane. Hands disconnect early but can work to both halves of the field.
