Preston Sumner is a 2027 SS/RHP/3B with a 5-11 152 lb. frame from Collierville, TN who attends Collierville. Lean, slender frame with plenty of time and room to physically mature. Recorded a 8.05 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary infielder with a fundamentally sound defensive skill set with proper footwork and some lateral range to either side. Displayed a clean funnel out in-front, worked through the baseball with deliberate pace and delivered accurate throws up to 80 mph across the diamond. Left-handed hitter that hits from a wider base with a high hand set, high back elbow and a simple move into launch. Incorporates simple hand load, stays short with stroke and produced plenty of present bat speed with quickness to his hands. Consistent bat-to-ball skills with some adjustability. Will continue to enhance power potential with additional strength, stays simple and repeats well.
