Luke Danser is a 2027 OF/RHP/C with a 5-8 140 lb. frame from Charlotte, NC who attends Charlotte Catholic. Medium current build with lean musculature with some twitch to his actions. Primary position OF, attacking the ball with aggressive footwork and good angles. Presents glove out front nicely and works into deliberate midline transfer to throw. Accurate feeds back to infield, showing 70 mph velocities. Made very impressive diving catch, full layout in game action. Reps on the IF with more methodical actions here and working from a lower slot with throws across the diamond up to 64 mph. Behind the plate, works a bit high in his legs with less refined mechanics here. Spinning off front side to throw and showed pop-time best 2.35 seconds. Secondary RHP, working the full windup with small side step leading to strong leg lift above the belt. Loads well over rubber and brakes into stabby deep inline arm path before accelerating through high 3/4 arm angle. Gets a bit rotational at times and had a recoil at release point. FB with sinking type action up to 72 mph backed up with vertically shaped CB in the 58 mph range. RHH working with a narrow and slightly open stance. Quiet handset working inside the ball from a high start. Some length to his path but gets on plane and repeats bat path quite well. Will work up hill from time to time and shows some emerging power to his operation. Repeats mechanically and should be consistent performer with the bat as he adds strength over time. Does it all on the field, will be interesting to see where he ends up longterm.
