2023 Preseason HS Prospect Showcase
Ian Martinez is a 2023 OF/RHP with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Bajadero, PR who attends Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy. Medium athletic build with plenty of room to get stronger. Moves well in the outfield and has nice athleticism, throws from an over the top arm slot and gets on top of the ball well, gets accurate on line carry on his throws. Left handed hitter, hits from a balanced stance with a high hand load, patient hitting approach, lets the ball travel, mid field to opposite field approach. Did not run the sixty here but has run down to 6.66 at past PG showcases. Very good student.
