Rogelio Martinez is a 2025 2B/C/IF/OF with a 5-5 140 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Klein Collins. Smaller build with room to grow, plenty of development to follow. Primary 2B, moves well side to side showing some field awareness. Plays back on the ball with fundamental glove skills. Showed some young tendencies with the footwork and approach, stopped momentum to gather and transfer to throw. Short arm works, released some off the back-side with no follow through the bag. In the outfield, makes good reads on the ball attacking it late. Fields it middle body limiting some range and footwork. Shows intent to get lower half engaged on the throw, young arm action is slightly behind producing uphill throws. Right handed hitter, sets up with a deep barrel and worked his contact skills to all fields. Starts with an open stance and has a good feel for the high leg lift trigger, landed closed moving into contact but was on time. Hands stayed connected through contact, longer barrel path will tighten up with maturing strength gains.
