Cole Leclair is a 2023 SS/3B with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Toronto, ON who attends Upper Canada College. Large frame with a filling out build showing a sturdy lower half. Ran a 6.74 second sixty yard dash. Primary Shortstop, working to the baseball under control with short, choppy steps. Gathers out front as he works into a quick transfer. Accurate and proved to have some arm strength as he threw it 87 mph. Left-Handed Hitter, starting balanced with a good bit of moving parts. High hands behind the ear before working into a higher leg lift to stride. Quickness in the hands as he fires the bat head. Stays linear through the zone as he looked to drive it back up the middle. Proved he could generate backspin and has some power to the swing when timed up properly.
