Christian Salgado is a 2024 C/OF with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Bridgewater, NJ who attends St. Joseph. Medium, square shouldered frame with present strength proportioned throughout. Ran a 7.35 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, higher set up behind the plate in drills, receives the ball out front well, gains short ground with lower half and will continue to refine overall footwork, shows carry on throws, accuracy down to second base when on top on ball at release. Right-handed hitter, begins with an open stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate, gets closed moving into contact. Loads weight onto backside at start of swing, clears hips well, keeps hands tight and inside the ball throughout swing. Looks to lift at point of contact, comfort working to the middle and pull side parts of the field and found a hard barrel in live action on single through left side. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
