Makani Tanaka is a 2022 OF/1B with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Honolulu, HI who attends Iolani. Tall slender build, very projectable body. Ran the 60 yard dash in 6.9 seconds. Primary outfielder, showed some athleticism, came to the ball well. Showed good footwork and smooth hands, has a quick transfer and release and displayed good arm strength. Left-handed hitter, displayed quick hands that get in and out of the zone, the swing has a natural loft and showed raw power. Flashed the ability to square the ball up to both gaps. Good student. Named to the California Prospect Top Prospect List.
