James Van Der Post is a 2028 RHP/C/3B with a 5-7 135 lb. frame from Round Hill, VA who attends Woodgrove. Long and lean frame with broad shoulders and some wiry strength. Ran a 7.26 in the sixty yard dash. Primary right handed pitcher, simple mechanics with a knee to belt leg lift, fuller efficient arm circle to a high 3/4 release, short stride landing cross body at foot strike, fastball had late cutting action up to 78 mph, missed bats with the offering and gets good extension to the glove side, developing feel for the curveball, has arm speed and will only improve with added strength. Also worked out in the outfield, stays square to the ball and fields off the front foot, creates carry on throws up to 75 mph. Right handed hitter, open stance with an inward move into contact, turns the barrel over with intent, line drive swing plane. Named to the Top Prospect List.
