Alec Weavel is a 2023 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Winnebago, IL who attends Winnebago. Medium size, average build. Ran a 7.35 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder with footwork getting around the baseball, works through it softer hands while maintaining momentum, moves pretty well ranging to both sides, and follows through on throws where he shows above average arm strength and accuracy. Should be able to play each infield spot adequately. Hit from a slightly open stance at the plate, creates some separation, arm bars, shows some bat speed with a level bat path through the zone. Hit some balls on a line to all fields. Showed a two pitch-mix out of a high three-quarter slot on the mound. Upper 70's fastball on a downhill plane that flattens out with shorter arm action on the release. Curve had slurvy shape in the low 60's. Great student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
