Ethan Spies is a 2027 OF/LHP/1B with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from League City, TX who attends Clear Creek. Leaner, athletic build for age with lots to work with long term. Ran a 7.71 in the sixty. Showed well in outfield and infield drills. Good exchange and sound fundamentals. Cleaner hands and simple fluid actions on the dirt or grass. Good accuracy to the bag from a higher release. Left-handed pitcher works from a high three-quarter slot from the stretch with a slide step into release. Bit of running action to the fastball, mixed in a curveball and subtle changeup as his secondaries. Left-handed hitter, even base and high back elbow. Showed good handle and feel, on time and in-sync with his lower half. Athletic look and comes off well from a compact stroke. Solid impact and good comfort to build upon.
