Ryder Edwards is a 2022 RHP/C/OF with a 6-2 155 lb. frame from Palmdale, CA who attends Paraclete. Long and very lean build with lots of room to get stronger. Over the top arm slot with good arm quickness, creates lots of downhill angle and does a good job of staying on top of his pitches. Fastball topped out at 82 mph, showed good ride up in the strike zone and missed bats, has some deception, fastball velocity projects well as he continues to get stronger. Showed good feel for his curveball, flashed bite and depth and good power in the zone. Good chance to keep improving with physical maturity. 7.99 runner in the sixty. Plays the outfield when not on the mound, showed his athleticism well during the games. Right handed hitter, hits from a slightly open stance with a leg lift trigger, short inside swing path from a low hand start, works gap to gap while getting the ball in the air. Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
