Kaden Alstad is a 2025 3B/RHP, 1B with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Decorah, IA who attends Decorah. Recorded a 7.30 sixty yard dash at the event. Tall, lean build with wiry strength in frame. Primary infielder, works low to the ground. Funnels through the middle of his body. Over-the-top arm action from the infield. Throws have some carry across with below average accuracy. At first base, Alstad showed off clean footwork working around the bag well. Soft hands scooping low throws. Showed off better arm speed here as well. Like the potential at first base as a whole. Secondary outfielder, used a prep step start in his footwork. Patient approach, letting ball work toward him. Throws had carry from the outfield with an accurate arm here. Average quick twitch muscles for an outfielder. Right-handed pitcher, as well. Throws from a 3/4 arm slot, using a shorter arm action with normal flex and average arm speed. Pitched from the stretch only. Lands online, working over the front side with solid extension out front. Pitched one inning, with good balance on the mound and threw strikes as well. Fastball worked up to 78 mph. Left-handed hitter, in the box. Narrow, open stance. Utilized a big leg kick as his timing mechanism. Mostly pull side approach with the barrel getting out front early and pulling most balls. As the timing gets better, and hit tools continue to progress, Alstad has some really good tools to build upon moving forward.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
