Ethan Dai is a 2025 C/RHP with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Demarest, NJ who attends Northern Valley Regional. Medium, broad shouldered frame with present strength to frame throughout. Ran a 7.87 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, lower set up behind the plate, pops tall out of the crouch, shorter arm action, front shoulder opens early in release but consistently accurate throws to second base with carry, repeats actions well. Also pitched, works exclusively out of the stretch, gathers on backside, works to an over-the-top release point; pitched exclusively off of fastball, topped out at 72 mph with short life to it. Right-handed hitter, begins with an even and narrow base, slightly open stance with lower hand set, utilizes a hanging leg lift trigger for timing. Contact oriented approach with developing bat speed, gets downward with path, best contact when on a linear plane, keeps hands inside the ball, can implement additional lower half moving into contact, turned on a ball for triple to pull gap in live action. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
