Phillip Taylor is a 2025 LHP/1B/OF with a 5-11 195 lb. frame from Bethlehem, PA who attends Bethlehem Catholic. As a primary LHP, the broad framed '25 prospect displayed a full windup from the 3B side of the rubber with a bigger chest high leg lift and medium in-line arm stroke to ultimately top out at 77 mph. He created solid momentum down the hill with a fast tempo overall to keep hitters uncomfortable in the box. SL was primary off speed offering with tight horizontal tilt for swing and miss. Taylor also provided value both in the OF and at 1B, producing accurate throws with the ability to successfully change slots at the latter. Offensively, the lefty started from a wider base with a compact hand set and lower back elbow to produce consistent contact to all parts of the field. He utilized a toe tap trigger for timing and posted an exit velo of 76 mph. Ran a 8.03 sixty yard dash. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
