Jack Buchan is a 2025 OF/LHP with a 5-9 135 lb. frame from Mercer Island, WA who attends Mercer Island. Medium frame with long limbs and a very lean build. 8.63 60-yd. Flashed some upside on the mound as a left-handed pitcher. Working from the stretch only utilized a short up and down action with the front leg and rolling hand break taking the glove to the catcher allowing the full arm swing to get to its higher 3/4 release. Shows a slight sink of the hips before going down the hill utilizing a longer stride and putting emphasis as he got over the front side. Had a quick and efficient inning attacking the zone and utilized fastball to get swings at the top of the zone with the long and flowing 12/6 curveball dropping off into the zone. In the outfield worked wide and low fielding the ball in his middle with two hands utilizing a long crow hop and the long arm to make his throws. Offensively starts with an even base and hands seeing the hands stay high as the front side opens for the barrel to work an upward path.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
