Ryne Salas is a 2023 RHP/1B, 3B with a 6-1 260 lb. frame from Crystal Lake, IL who attends Crystal Lake South. Recorded an 8.53 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher with a mature build. Works a side step into a waist level leg lift and lands slightly closed at foot strike. Arm action is medium length thru the back and releases from a mid-3/4 slot. FB ran up to 77 mph and pounded the zone with it to the arm side. Sequenced in a lateral slider with some tightness. Outing was overall efficient. Secondary first baseman and good glovework with a clean round. Showed an accurate arm as well. Right-handed hitter and starts from a narrow base. Employs some rhythm and bat path is linear through the zone. Strength stands out and found barrels on a consistent basis.
