Robert Mascia is a 2028 C/RHP/1B with a 5-8 145 lb. frame from Commack, NY who attends Commack. Compact build. Worked out from two spots defensively, behind the plate, he sets up in a square crouch. Receives it in deep with soft hands that work into a fluid exchange. Gains ground while maintaining some connection into the lower half to drive the throws down. Shows the feel to work downhill with accuracy to the base. 1.91 pop time. On the dirt, shows quality coordination when fielding on the move, varies slot comfortably when necessary. Delivered each throw accurate across the diamond. Presents the pocket early. Right handed hitter with hands and back elbow high at the start intiatal movement is a high leg lift. Hands show some quickness but could benefit from more consistent timing. Had his best success on a line to the opposite field both in batting practice and in game. 7.55 60-yard.
