James Wyllie is a 2025 OF/3B with a 5-9 157 lb. frame from Leesburg, VA who attends Riverside. Recorded a 6.92 second sixty-yard dash time. Compact, lean frame with some quick twitch athleticism and plenty of room to fill out. Primary outfielder; incorporates anticipatory footwork into the fielding process, fields with two hands and stays under control. Works into a shorter arm action and does carry some momentum into release. Recorded online, accurate throws up to 71 mph during drills. Left-handed hitter that hits from a wider base with a high, tight hand set and high back elbow. Incorporates a negative leg lift to start the swing and shifts nicely into contact. Simple, repeatable stroke with some segmented actions into launch. Whole field approach with quickness to his hands, compact line drive swing path and consistent bat-to-ball skills. Impacts the baseball fairly from gap-to-gap and will continue to expand his power potential as he continues physically mature and add strength. Solid overall skill set with some quick twitch athleticism, tons of projection and upside on both sides of the baseball. Excellent Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
