Robert Mason Amell is a 2025 1B/RHP/3B with a 6-2 220 lb. frame from Naples, FL who attends Naples. Ran a 8.50 second sixty. Primary first baseman with a larger frame. Works around the baseball with a shuffle of the feet getting to the right side of the ball and funneling it in with soft hands. The footwork on the double play feeds is still developing and will allow him to make quicker more accurate throws with a better understanding. Starts with a belt high leg lift to the belt using a short tight arm action to get to a three-quarters arm slot. The fastball sat 68-72 mph with some sinking action generating weaker ground ball contact. The curveball showed 11-5 shape and gave him a second pitch to land in the zone for strikes. Left-handed hitter, starts with a wider base using a small turn to trigger the swing with a steeper bat path. Showed some strength at the point of contact when he gets out front at contact with his best impact to the pull side.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
