Marcus Newfield is a 2024 3B/OF with a 5-7 131 lb. frame from Mandeville, LA who attends Fontainebleau. He ran a 8.00 second sixty. A primary outfielder with a young lean build, has room to fill on the frame moving forward. In the outfield he showcased a full arm action with a high release and developing arm strength, he works aggressive to the ball before stopping his feet to field it off his left foot, he will produce more carry on his throws when he starts to carry his momentum into them. From the right side of the plate he starts with his weight shifted the back side, the barrel works through the zone on an uphill plane as he gets the hips clear looking to pull the ball. Good student.
