Julian Battistic is a 2027 C/RHP, 1B, OF with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Shoreacres, TX who attends Deer Park. Features a medium build with strength present. Ran a 7.88 60-yard dash. Showcased defensive versatility, working out in the outfield, at first base, and at catcher. Charged the ball hard in the outfield. Creates momentum into the catchpoint. Still refining the ability to transfer it into throws. Threw 74 mph during workouts. Showcased good footwork at first base. Fields the ball out front. Still developing consistent hands through the catchpoint. Used a low, side saddle setup behind the plate. Gains round well out of crouch. Still developing consistent quickness within the transfer. Was accurate with most throws. Right-handed hitter. Utilizes a wide base setup with deep load onto the backside. Swings on an uppercut path. Flashes the ability to keep the barrel in the zone for a long time. Combines with strength to drive balls when on time. Approach allows for the entire field to be used. Right-handed pitcher. Throws exclusively out of the stretch. Utilizes a simple operation with tall and fall mechanics down the mound. Displays a clean, short arm action out of a 3/4 slot. Has arm speed present. The fastball sat 70-74 mph with some ride through the zone. Offering works well at the top of the zone. Paired it with a curveball at 57-61 mph showing short, 11-5 action. Can create good depth on the pitch when thrown well. Still developing the overall command of both offerings.
