Caleb Metzen is a 2022 UT/RHP with a 6-3 188 lb. frame from Garden City, KS who attends Garden City. Tall and rangy athletic build, plenty of physical projection ahead of him. 7.18 runner in the sixty. Plays both infield and outfield on defense, profiles best at third base and left field. Is aggressive going the ball and plays hopes well with good hands, works his momentum and lower half into his throws well. Right handed hitter, hits from a slightly open narrow stance with a simple stride into contact, gets into his lower half well, swings hard with some bat speed, short and compact to the ball, has the potential to add power in the future. Also pitched, works from the stretch with a long stride down the mound, 3/4's arm slot. Threw lots of strikes with a fastball that topped out at 78 mph, tended to slow his arm on his curveball and change up. Versatile player who should continue to improve. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
