Nathan O'Rear is a 2024 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-7 120 lb. frame from Perry, GA who attends Perry. Smaller young frame. 7.91 runner in the sixty. Is light on his feet defensively in the middle infield, works to the ball well and fields it out front, long arm action with developing arm strength and throwing mechanics. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight upright stance, hips work well driving his swing, gets his hands and the barrel out front on time, nice swing mechanically and will definitely keep improving with the bat as he gets stronger. Also pitched, slow to fast delivery with some energy at release, uses his lower half well to drive to the plate and maintains his direction well, high 3/4's arm slot with a full follow through out front. Fastball topped out at 72 mph with some occasional cutting action. Shows some feel for spinning the ball with a 11/5 curveball with tight spin. Good student.
