Alex Weingartner is a 2026 SS/RHP with a 5-8 140 lb. frame from Berlin, NJ who attends St. Augustine Prep. Smaller frame with a lean Atheltic build. Ran a 7.42 second 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, good feel on the dirt with range to both sides, gets wide in the lower half to play low into receiving, gets it clean with two hands out front, higher slot release with developing arm strength but showed good feel to work into throws with mid-70s arm across. Also pitches, stretch only with good tempo and life to the delivery, really loose and fast arm, gets on top of the fastball and rides it to the bottom, good feel to spin slurve to vertical shaped breaking ball, sells changeup very well, good feel for all 3 pitches with athleticism to delivery and projectable arm speed. Right-handed hitter, simple approach on a longer swing path, has some hand speed that allows him to get the barrel out front, can get a little rotational but good when he stays through it to the middle, will project to more bat speed with added strength.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
