Kevin Rubio is a 2023 C/1B, OF with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Rancho Cucamonga, CA who attends Walnut. He ran a 7.76 second sixty. A primary catcher with a lean build. Behind the plate he sets in a side straddle and does a nice job gaining ground into his throws with quick feet and a solid transfer, he will get better carry and zip on his throws with more extension out front on the throws. At first base he showed some feel for the doubel play feeds with a clean funnel and accurate release. Right-handed hitter, showed some intent in the swing path with a. quicker short swing, he was able o get the barrel head out front and spray some baseballs to all fields. Good student.
