Bryce Duszak is a 2024 C/RHP with a 6-1 210 lb. frame from Appleton, WI who attends Menasha. A bigger and high-waisted frame. Physical look with strength that shows throughout. Ran a 7.73 60-yard dash. Primary catcher. He worked out behind the dish with a really impressive round. He had open feet with an offset start. He showed some bounce coming out of the crouch with a quick move. He had a speedy arm with a full arm swing. Accurate to second with strong throws that carried at 80 mph to the bag. He gains ground well working out of the crouch. Really impressive round overall. Produced a 1.84 pop time. He's a right-handed hitter with an even base, bent knees, and lower-set hands. He lifts the leg and works to it with quick hands. He had impact strength to drive the ball and showed bat speed when he was connected. Quick stride with some juice to the pull-side gap. Drove it well to the middle of the field and had a couple of really good swings throughout the round. Physical look and a physical swing being able to show some serious juice. Produced a 94 mph exit velocity during PG Tech testing. Took to the mound as a right-handed pitcher with a slower and deliberate leg lift up about the belt. He coils slightly, and glove taps with the ball before reaching back and working downhill. He released from a three-quarters arm slot and had good arm speed through release. It was a longer arm stroke as he worked into release. The fastball came out at 86 mph and had some slight arm-side run, being able to overpower hitters at times. He showed a curveball with an 11/5 shaped break to it, getting over the top of it and pulling downhill. Then, he showed a harder, mid-70s slider with more lateral break and sweep to it. Mostly fastball attack early on, mixing in the breakers more in his second inning of work. Threw 1 and 2/3 innings, allowing 1 hit and striking out 5 opposing hitters. Good student. Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
