Luke Morgan is a 2023 RHP/1B with a 6-0 195 lb. frame from Mechanicsburg, PA who attends Mechanicsburg Area. Morgan was an intimidating presence on the mound, working from a big broad build with lots of strength and momentum. Out of an over the top arm slot, he displayed a heavy FB up to 85 mph that he consistently located down in the zone. Morgan also featured a looping curve with good shape to keep hitters off balance. At his secondary 1B position, the arm once again showed life with accurate throws across the diamond. Morgan started from an open stance offensively with a level bat path and flashes of hard contact to the pull side. He showcased nice hip rotation to generate some power, which could become more consistent in the future. Ran a 8.19 60 yard dash.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
