Caleb Alexander is a 2027 SS/RHP/IF with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Summer Creek. Medium, high waisted and athletic frame with some lean muscle throughout and room to continue adding. Primary shortstop with refined, advanced footwork and a clean funnel. Works downhill through the baseball with athleticism and fluidity into release. Showed the ability to change arm slots when necessary and recorded arm strength up to 83 mph with plenty of carry across the diamond. Secondary right-handed pitcher that worked from a full windup delivery with deliberate pace into balance. Uses a slightly coiled leg lift and showed good usage of his lower half down the slope. Ran his fastball up to 84 mph from a higher three-quarters arm slot with good extension out in-front, generates plenty of swings-and-misses with fastball and worked all four quadrants of the strike zone effectively. Mixed in a slower 11-5 shaped curveball with depth to it and faded changeup as his go-to secondary offerings. Both were thrown with replicated arm speed and show promising profiles for the future. Right-handed hitter that hits from a slightly open stance with high, tight hands and a hanging trigger for timing. Simple, direct stroke with line drive impact from gap-to-gap. Displayed plenty of present bat speed and strength at contact, while showcasing promising power potential as he continues to physically mature. Athletic, fundamentally sound two-way talent with impact ability in all facets of his game, will continue to improve with additional strength and maturity. Excellent Student.
