Joshua Caravalho is a 2021 RHP/1B, OF with a 6-7 218 lb. frame from Santa Clara, CA who attends The King's Academy. Large build with present length and plenty of room to fill out as he continues to develop. Primary pitcher, has a long and loose arm action that comes up to a high three-quarters slot. Simple and repeatable mechanics. Fastball up to 85 mph, some heaviness to the plate. Ability to get in onto the hands of hitters. Occasionally shows some natural arm side run. Mixes in a large 11-to-5 shaped curveball with good vertical bite to the plate. Developing mimicking arm actions with the breaking ball. At first base, stays in front of the ball well and plants cleanly to throw. Lowers his slot when throwing to second base. Frame profiles well at first base. At the plate, uses an upright and even stance with a slightly elevated barrel plane through the zone. More power left to be unlocked in his lower half.
