Daniel Smith is a 2024 RHP/1B/OF with a 6-0 141 lb. frame from Norfolk, VA who attends Granby. Tall and slender young build with lots of room and time for further physical development. Works from the stretch with a low hand set, breaks his hands late, low 3/4's to side arm slot, has good tempo and pace to his delivery. Mid-60's fastball with some sinking actions, still developing feel and arm speed on his secondary pitches. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with a simple line drive swing approach, mid to opposite field contact. Played both the outfield and first base with the same low arm slot, 8.73 runner. Very good student.
