Roberto Valdes Jr is a 2025 SS/2B with a 6-0 145 lb. frame from Bay Shore, NY who attends Bay Shore Senior. Immediate athleticism was present from the jump, as Valdes made difficult plays look routine from the IF both in workouts and in game. With projection in the build, Valdes flashed the ability to change slots on the run with clean fielding mechanics and range to both sides. Offensively, the righty started from a narrow stance with a hover trigger to produce consistent line drives gap to gap. The stroke was compact with evident hand speed and a repeatable level path through the zone. Valdes was controlled and natural both on the offensive and defensive ends. Ran a 7.75 sixty yard dash. Named to Top Prospect List.
