Tyce Smith is a 2026 OF/IF with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Denver, CO who attends Cherry Creek. Features a taller build with room to add. Ran a 7.52 60-yard dash. Performed well throughout infield and outfield workouts. Uses patient approach in the outfield. Caught the ball clean throughout the workout. Features a crow hop transition into throws. Short arm action generated a fair amount of carry with solid accuracy. Showcased athletic actions on the dirt. Quick feet moved fairly well both ways. Caught the routine ball well with the ability to work through hops. A whippy arm action with good arm speed produced good carry across the diamond. Still developing consistent accuracy with the throws. Left-handed hitter. Utilizes an open stance with a semi-crouched lower half. Slight uppercut bat path produces natural loft within. Uses a pure pullside approach. Showcased quality bat speed that can catch the ball out front. Still developing consistent barrel accuracy. Swings with the intent to do damage. Has the ability to generate a fair amount of pullside power. Also threw as righthander pitcher. Uses a semi-windup delivery with tall and fall mechanics. There is a slight pause at the bottom of a long arm swing before a 3/4 slot release. Low effort allows the delivery to be repeated well. The fastball sat 70-72 mph on a slight downhill plane. Was around the zone often. Paired it with a curveball in the low-60’s. Offering showed slurve-like action. Has confidence in the offering with the ability to throw it for strikes. Still developing consistent bite to the pitch. Named to the 13u/14u California Workout Showcase Top Prospect List.
